Regional symposium for Western universities

The university director, Professor, participated Ahmed_Bahri In the proceedings of the meeting of the regional symposium of Western universities (CROSS) Which was hosted by Abi Bakr Belkaid University in Tlemcen on Thursday 27 November 2025, with the participation of directors of university institutions in the Western Region.

This participation comes within the framework of regular monitoring of the academic situation and the implementation of ministerial directives related to the current university year, in line with the outcomes of the meeting that brought together the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research with the heads of regional seminars on Sunday. 19 November 2025.

During the meeting, several basic topics were discussed related to evaluating the pedagogical outcome of the first semester, continuing to include the English language in the university system, in addition to promoting innovation and entrepreneurship within the student community.. The attendees also discussed organizing applied training courses and special tracks, and discussed the progress of the “Study in Algeria” program and mechanisms for enhancing the quality of training by activating quality assurance and accreditation systems. (ISO).

The developments of the “Algerian Qualifications Framework” project were also presented, which aims to unify national references for training and set pedagogical standards, as it is a pivotal step to enhance the quality of higher education and ensure recognition of competencies and skills..
