UNESCO-King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Prize for the Use of ICT in Education

For distribution to the entire academic and research community, I have the honor to inform you of the launch by the General Directorate of UNESCO, of the call for applications concerning the edition 2026 of the UNESCO-King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa Prize for the use of Information and Communication Technology (TIC) in education, which focuses on the theme “Reinventing creativity and critical thinking with artificial intelligence” and under which two (02) winners will be selected and rewarded with an amount of 25 000 US dollars each.
The said Prize was created in 2005 with the support of the Kingdom of Bahrain, it aims to reward the projects and activities of people, d’institutions, other entities or non-governmental organizations whose models of excellence, best practices and resourceful use of information and communication technologies to promote learning, teaching and educational performance in general.
In this regard, our country as a member of UNESCO, is invited to submit up to three (03) applications, at the latest 08 May 2026, online and through the National Commission
