The BSN (Digital strategy office) stands for the Digital Strategy Office, a unit focused on implementing and managing the university’s digital transformation strategy. It oversees the integration of digital tools and platforms to enhance administrative efficiency, educational processes, and research capabilities. The Algerian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has introduced the BSN initiative in 2021 to modernize universities, ensuring alignment with national digital policies and promoting technological advancements in higher education

Roles and Responsibilities

The BSN plays a significant role in advancing the digital transformation agenda. Its roles typically include:

  • Developing Digital Strategies: Designing and implementing strategies to integrate digital tools into academic, administrative, and research processes.
  • Overseeing Digital Platforms: Managing platforms like Moodle for e-learning and other digital systems for university operations.
  • Capacity Building: Organizing training for staff and students on digital tools and technologies.
  • Ensuring Infrastructure Development: Supporting the deployment of modern IT infrastructure.
  • Promoting Innovation: Encouraging technological solutions for academic and administrative challenges.
